Aage Hempel Netherlands wins first new build contract

Aage Hempel Netherlands receives order from Shipyard ASTO b.v. for an inland river ship.

AH has won their first new built order for ASTO Shipyard in Raamsdonksveer, The Netherlands.

This motor ship has the dimensions 80 x 9 meter and is named SILANI.

ASTO shipyard is specialised in maintenance, repair and new building projects.

Quality is one of the main issues and is always leading in the process. The yard has built up a solid reputation and a broad client base.

Aage Hempel Netherlands will do partly the engineering in cooperation with the yard. The order contains the technical coordination and the project management. Aage Hemel will supply the navigation and communication equipment like river radar, pilot, rate of turn indicator, depth sounder, camera system, inland ECDIS system and telephone installation.

The project will be ready for trails half April 2014.
