Panama office now open
Aage Hempel has opened a new office in Panama on the 16th of January 2012.
Aage Hempel is proud to advise its customers that we have been appointed as a Northrop Grumman/ service agent in Panama. From our Panama office we will be available to service all Sperry customers as well as our own extensive list of customers.
Aage Hempel Panama will hold a large inventory of Sperry Marine main line spare parts as well as an additional large inventory of other manufacturer spares to better support its existing customers.
Our technicians are trained on the following manufacturer’s products and whilst not having the official representation we are in a strong position to support existing as well as new customers on these products: Thrane & Thrane, JRC, Jotron, Furuno, Raytheon, SAM, Insterschalt, Kelvin Hughes, Skipper, Danelec, Netwave/Rutter, Flir, Pole-Star, AMI and many others.
Aage Hempel Panama will also be in a position to carry out GMDSS and VDR inspections on vessels at anchorage, alongside and on passage. We are approved by most major classification societies and by many manufacturers for SVDR /VDR APT’s.

Aage Hempel International A/S was established in the early 1930´s in Copenhagen , Denmark. The International expansion started in 1992 when the company opened an office in Algeciras, Spain to support Maersk.
Today, 20 years on, Aage Hempel has 80 employees with an impressive portfolio of 1700 active customers with offices located around Spain, Gibraltar, Morocco Portugal, Malta making Aage Hempel the largest Marine service company in Southern Europe for Navigation and communication systems. We see Panama as our biggest challenge to date and of course our first expansion outside Europe.
Les Housley (General Manager of Aage Hempel International) points out that our European expansion has always been customer driven and Panama is no exception. Mr Housley believes that Panama has great potential and many of our customers have requested us to open an office in this area in order to provide quality service for their vessels.
